CloudBoard 2.0

CloudBoard 2.0 is on the testing roll this week and will be available to C9 clients by the end of the week. It’s mainly a bug fix release – over 300 issues fixed – but we’ve also rewritten almost 1000 lines of code, backend, for various improvements.

Pixelmator

Sparky has written a new stylesheet format, called Pixelstyle, designed to simplify the drawing of dynamic vector images on the web. Online already is the first interpreter/generator for Pixelstyle, called Pixelmator. Check it out at http://pixelmator.info! We hope that our developer base will find this a useful tool.

PHP 6

We’ve rolled out an alpha of PHP 6 on a few of our servers. If you’d like to have PHP 6 installed/enabled on your account, please contact C9 support. It will not be enabled on anyone who does not explicitly ask, so don’t worry if you prefer 5.2 for now.

CloudBoard Extended API

Available now in the CloudBoard plugin installer is the CloudNine Extended API, which adds over 200 custom OO functions designed to make writing CloudBoard addons easier than ever before. CloudBoard developers, check it out now – the first ~50 lines of a CloudBoard API 1.0 plugin can be reduced to two or three with the extended API.
