Additional Services
CloudNine does not offer “add-ons” for hosting packages; all features humanly possible are given to all accounts at no extra charge. Whereas most hosts would charge extra for custom nameservers, developers’ extensions, additional e-mail accounts, etc, we take a simpler philosophy: Everything except disk space and bandwidth is unmetered. Use 1 database or use 6000 – it makes no difference to us.
Instead, this page is dedicated to additional services – relevant things we do here at C9 which may or may not be directly tied to your hosting account. CloudNine offers the following to its existing customers:
Initial Setup Services – See separate page here. ($49.99)
Transfer Services – Considering coming to C9 from another host, but unsure of exactly how to do it? We’ll walk you through terminating services with our competitor, and move all your files over from the old host, keeping databases, in-site links, etc, completely in tact.* ($19.99)
Hard-copy Backup – Paranoid about data security? We, are, too – that’s why we keep weekly backups of all accounts at no extra charge – but if you’d like to get your over-protective hands on a physical copy, give us a call and we’ll mail you a complete account backup on a DVD, and charge you only the cost of shipping. (Cost varies)
Soft-copy Backup – Same above, but if our C9-stored weekly backup isn’t enough to calm your nerves, give us a buzz and we’ll SendSpace or YouSendIt you an account backup. (No charge)
Emergency Assistance – CloudNine cares about its clients. If you’re really in a fix with your site, and having problems not related to your account itself (maybe you screwed up installing a forum mod, or some database tweaking your friend did has put your site out of commission), call us. Really. You won’t get the “We’re sorry, but support related to website content is not provided” treatment. We can’t guarantee anything, but we’ll certainly have a look. (No charge)
* Please note that you must keep your account tied to its current domain when transferring. IE, you can’t move your SomeHost account for MyWebsite.com to a C9 account for MyOtherSite.net.
