Personal Dedicated Servers

Personal Dedicated Servers are CloudNine’s answer to the issues and cost of Virtual Private Servers. In today’s hosting world, an extremely underpowered VPS can cost you as much as $80/month – at which price, low end dedicated servers are available. As of yet, there has been no good solution for the avid web user wishing to both resell shared hosting and maintain root access.

CloudNine’s Personal Dedicated Servers seek to remedy this situation. Built in an extremely small case, these Atom-based servers significantly outperform any VPS, often times at less than half the price.

PDSes are new to the C9 line, and, due to extremely high demand, are usually out of stock. We currently offer only three configurations, but hope to offer more in the future.

Our PDS machines come with Ubuntu Server by default, with no control panel pre-installed.

We are of course able to install CentOS, Fedora, or any other Linux distro you like. It’s your choice.

We will install VHCS, an open source CP, at no charge, if you’d like.

We’re currently able to sell cPanel licenses at $6/mo/PDS.

We are currently not able to sell Windows Server licenses, however, should you wish to install Windows Server 2008, you’re more than welcome to do a network install (or, alternatively, mail us your product, and we’ll install it for you and mail it back).

All three PDS configurations come with 300GB of bandwidth by default, and are measured under the standard C9 biweekly bandwidth system. That is to say, you’ll get 300GB of bandwidth every two weeks. Need more? Contact support for a quote.
